CIStems Institute of Information Technology was born out of the growing need for high quality advanced education that could keep pace with the ever-changing global perspective in the field of information technology. This need was, perhaps, felt more because the very nature of the formal institutions is more static than dynamic, and hence a large number of them are slow to respond to the fast paced changes in information technology.

The seeds for CIIT were sown in 1990 when CIStems first ventured into the field of IT education by establishing CIStems School of Computing (CSC) at Tilak Nagar, Jaipur. Right from the inception the dream was to create an institution of national and international repute and these past years have been spent in sculpting and chiseling this dream into reality. CSC has been a resounding success where the students have topped at the National Level in the DOEACC ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level examinations on a regular basis. Considering CSC’s outstanding performance, CIStems has been conferred the National Award for Excellence in IT Education by the Government of India three times in the last four years.

CIIT began its journey two years ago. We know it is a journey, which will never end, a journey, which will take us to greater heights with each step. When we try to foresee the journey as far ahead as possible we feel nothing except being humble. Making CIIT progress towards its rightful place is not going to be the task of a single person or a small group of people. It can be done only with the active contribution of everyone- the advisors, the management, the faculty, the administrative staff, the students, the parents and the well wishers.
