Professor Raj Sharma did his B.S., M.S., and PhD in Chemical and Petroleum Refining Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, U.S.A

Prof. Sharma started his academic career with the Chemical Engineering Dept. of IIT Kanpur as Asst. Professor and went on to become the member of the Board of Governors of IIT Kanpur. Prof. Raj Sharma also took up the challenge of setting up the Chemical Engineering Department at MREC, Jaipur. As a result of his vision the Department of Chemical Engineering at MREC is considered amongst the best in the
country.

Prof. Sharma has published widely in leading, refereed international technical journals in different areas of chemical engineering including computer aided process simulation and applications of artificial neural networks. He has presented several papers in national and international conferences and is listed in “Who is Who in the World”.

Prof. Sharma not only had a long and distinguished academic career, his association with the industry has been equally illustrious. He has worked with multinational petroleum companies like Tosco Corporation and Kuwait National Petroleum Co. He has been consultant to several leading Indian companies like Indian Explosives Ltd., Engineers India Ltd., GHCL DMCC, and others. He has recently set up a company Epin Systems (P) Ltd. which is providing high-end specialized consulting to the Chemical Process Industry in state-of-art areas.
