KOMBAT - The Big Fight
All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy - the standard one liner we have been using to justify the elongated absence from home, since time immemorial! Well, jokes apart, sports have a special place in our lives. Keeping this in mind, CIIT organised 'KOMBAT - The Big Fight', an interhouse Table Tennis and Chess Tournament, (29th - 30th August 2001). Right from the practice sessions, participants from all the four houses were brimming with enthusiasm - aiming for the kill. The Table Tennis matches while there was one team each for the doubles event. The Chess matches had a single category and included four participants from each house. Both tournaments followed the knockout style of progression.

Siddhartha Shrivastava won the chess tournament, which the runner up was Prateek Dhingra
The point system formulated by the Sports Committee awards 10 points to the winner and 5 points to the runner up. At the end of the tournament, the individual points tally reads as follows:
